There are four 'venues' at Written Word, where we hold events and occasional activities (use navigation buttons to find pages with more details of these events). The venues are:

'Meet an Author' interviews, alternate Saturdays at 2pm SLT (10pm BST).
Seating for 55 avatars, or can be used as a performance venue and dancefloor with peripheral seating for 19.

Written Word Writers' Circle, Wednesdays at 2pm SLT (10pm BST). 'Circle Slam' competitions, occasional event.

Short Story Group, Fridays at 3pm SLT (11pm BST).
Indoor venue available for meetings, conferences, workshops, training, discussions ... Seating for 15 avatars, plus 6 on the comfy sofas.

Cosy caravans overlooking the sea where you can sit and write, or chat to those who pass by. Writing can be a lonely occupation - park yourself here as you work, and feel a part of our community ... just turn up and use them. |

A tribute to Art Deco English seaside cafes, this is a place to sit and socialise, or can be used as a small performance venue, with a stage and seating for around ten avatars. |
These venues are all available for suitable activities. Contact Jilly or Hastings (see contacts page) if you'd like to use any of them for an event. They're free of charge for not-for-profit writing-related or music events.
