Second Life Stanza

'Stanzas' are local poetry groups affiliated to the Poetry Society UK, and Written Word is hosting the very first 'virtual' Stanza, which offers exciting opportunities to take part in activities linked to the real life UK Poetry Society  - a major poetry organisation.  See their website at:

International members are welcome and you don't need to be in the UK Poetry Society.

There's a sl group you can join too - search for 'stanza' in groups to join - it's open membership.  We have a get-together:

Every Wednesday at 1pm SLT (9pm BST)

at the Written Word beach

before the Writers' Circle on the waterstage at 2pm SLT (10pm BST).

We will be writing regular articles for the Poetry Society's publication Stanza News, which appears on the Poetry Society website and in print. Stanza members can also enter the Poetry Society Stanza competitions.  For details see:

As your Second Life Stanza reps on SL we'll be organising get-togethers and events, plus plenty of opportunities to share work. All of this will be written about on the Poetry Society website.
