The Writers' Circle on May 27th was followed by a grand cheese rolling competition.  During a very exciting race, Arton Tripsa came from behind to snatch a last-minute victory (although technically, all victories are last minute).  She walks away with a cool L$100 prize.  

Here she is with her winning cheese, with other contestants moping in the background.  Arton's victory was all the more stunning as she was wearing a pencil skirt and four-inch heels.  Favourite Arkady Polietevska was heard to grumble that he wanted a rematch, darkly suggesting the possibility of cheese-knobbling.  

After the competition, Arton (who in real life is a successful Australian novelist) said that she may now give up writing and turn professional.
